Survive Google’s Never-Ending Updates
Every SEO has experienced it.
You wake up, check Search Console, and discover that something has changed.
Maybe it’s a Core Update.
Maybe AI Overviews are taking your clicks.
Maybe someone accidentally added a noindex tag to your most important page.
Or maybe your competitor just published a ridiculously comprehensive guide overnight.
That idea made me wonder:
What if the Chrome Dinosaur Game was redesigned for SEO professionals?
So I built SEO Survivor—a small weekend experiment that’s part game, part inside joke for anyone who works in search.
How to Play
Your objective is simple:
- Jump over SEO disasters.
- Stay alive for as long as possible.

Watch Out For
As you play, you’ll encounter familiar SEO nightmares like:
- Google Core Updates
- AI Overviews
- Helpful Content Updates
- Broken Redirects
- Spam Backlinks
- Noindex Tags
- JavaScript Rendering Issues
- Core Web Vitals Warnings
- Competitors publishing giant 5,000-word guides
- Lost Featured Snippets
If you’ve worked in SEO for a while, some of these may feel a little too familiar.
Why I Built This
This wasn’t meant to become the next viral browser game.
It started as a fun side project to learn more about AI-assisted coding and game development while creating something that fellow SEOs could enjoy.
I like building small experiments that combine SEO, creativity, and technology, and this is one of them.
Found a Bug?
Version 1 won’t be perfect.
If you notice a bug, have an idea for a funny obstacle, or think of another classic SEO nightmare that belongs in the game, I’d love to hear your suggestions.
